How Oakbridge collects, uses and protects personal information when providing educational guardianship services in England and Wales.
This notice is issued by Oakbridge Guardians Ltd (“Oakbridge”, “we”, “us”). We are the controller for personal data used to deliver educational guardianship, welfare monitoring, accommodation support and related services.

We rely primarily on contract, legal obligation and legitimate interests. Where we process special-category information (for example health or safeguarding data), we do so because it is necessary for safeguarding children and young people, or with explicit consent where that is the appropriate lawful route.
We share information only where necessary, for example with schools, host families, approved transport providers, emergency services, insurers, professional advisers and local authorities. We do not sell personal information.
Some parents, agents or systems may be outside the UK. Where transfers occur, we use appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law.
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected, including safeguarding, insurance, complaint and legal retention periods. Details are set out in our Data Retention Policy (C003).
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Safeguarding overrides confidentiality where a child may be at risk. We will share information with the right agencies when needed to protect a student.
